We don’t often get asked to do a tropical themed wedding, but it totally fitted the unique venue of Matara. We kept it soft and romantic by opting for soft peach tones, and gave a tropical contrast with dark green glossy leaves. We started with soft red proteas as focal flowers, then added peach anthurium for the ultimate tropical flower. We brought it back to traditional ever so slightly with Miss Piggy roses, which worked so well as they broke up the totally structured feel nicely. Mini proteas complimented the larger ones, and allowed us to keep a tropical feel in a buttonhole without using a huge bloom.
